Novel Energy Solutions installs powerful solar arrays called Community Solar Gardens.  A CSG is a centralized solar project, connected to the energy grid, that provides energy to multiple subscribers. NES is looking for a dedicated land and title specialist to provide support and subject matter expertise to the project development team to produce clean and marketable titles to allow for CSG construction to commence.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with project development, land acquisition sales team, construction and landowners to identify area for solar layout, lease, access easements, utility easements to produce designs instructions for Engineering contractors who will produce:

    • Interconnection drawings (site plans and one-lines)

    • ALTA surveys (with lease areas and easements areas identified

    • Legal descriptions of lease/purchase areas, easements

  • Manage title search companies and contractors to produce Title Reports and identify and resolve issues to produce clean titles. This includes:

    • Obtaining SNDAs or mortgages releases

    • Removing Liens

    • Gain crossing over existing easements, Right of Way

    • Mineral rights agreements, affidavits and others, etc.

    • Recording of documents

  • Coordinate with utility companies regarding design requirements needed that may require easement acquisition and layout additions, revisions to site layouts.

  • Coordinate with lenders, internal and outside counsel in order to close on loan funding.

  • Settle construction damages, as needed, with landowners, tenants and/or designated representatives.

  • Prepare, review, and edit land agreements for execution

  • Assist the permitting specialist as needed as it pertains to county and municipal conditional use permits, land use permits, SWPPP’s, etc.

  • Interact with landowners as needed, Land Acquisition/Business Development members, to execute site property documents

  • File, in paper and electronically, all Property Documents

  • Communicate with COO, Project Manager, and others as needed, to provide clear understanding of land issues, as well as land issues and needs that may impact permitting and Utility Interconnection

 

Our Ideal Candidate has:

  • Two years of post-secondary training

  • 3-5 years combined experience in real estate or right of way

  • Valid driver’s license

  • IRWA certification

  • Minnesota Real Estate License

  • Minnesota Notary

  • A Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
